perfect timing!

I like thinking big. If you're going to be thinking anything, you might as well think big.
Donald Trump

wow...this is so cool! i am now on the financial section of my business plan and i can't believe how the universe so perfectly orchestrated this with my accounting class! i absolutely get everything my teacher is talking about in this section! i can visually see the whole accounting process laid out as she is talking about such things as P& L, costs, expenses, cash basis vs accrual basis, etc.

i feel so smart!!

obscured by clouds

ancient bonds are breaking,

moving on and changing sides

dreaming of a new day,

cast aside the other way.

still sprinkling

dreary this morning with a light sprinkling. i like it tho, and the thought of how beautiful it will be this weekend photohiking in the mountains...can hardly wait!

you'll be happy to know that the advil was not needed last night...altho i may have to double my caffeine intake for tonight's class as by 9:30 i was fading fast. even tho the basics of accounting is static it's still complicated, but the teacher is patient and very understandable and i'm learning a lot. she's also very smart in that we had to go around and say why we were taking the class, so she applies some of the principles and examples to a lot of our situations.

after the business plan class (still going on), the accounting class and then the quickbooks class in june and all my hard work, i'm really starting to feel like a true entrepreneur!! all so responsible and empowered!(i have a cheesy smile on my face!!)

drizzling all day long

grabbed a few shots of the rain soaked flowers and leaves in my front yard during my lunch hour today. i find the bubbles of water so fascinating...just love it!

i'm about half way thru my class now and i tell you writing out a business plan has been the most beneficial thing i have ever done in regards to my art. i've been really pushed (to the brink!) to think creatively about it for the first time and it's definitely influencing how i approach my art as a product and business. one area (features vs benefits) had me stuck for awhile but my teacher and i bounced ideas back and forth about what distinguishes my photos from others. so i was driven to find a way to make my work stand out, and i think i got there this past weekend.yeah!

for the next 3 nights i have a four hour accounting class...yikes! i've got a diet coke and some advil handy...just in case!

following your bliss...

the way to find out about happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when you feel most happy,

when you are really happy~not excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy. this requires a little bit of self-analysis. what is it that makes you happy?

stay with it, no matter what people tell you. this is what is called following your bliss!

hiking in the san gabriel mountains is one of the things that makes me deeply happy. when i am in nature i feel a connection, a gratitude for the tremendous beauty i see. i feel free and at times, yes... even bliss!!

closing of a day...

one day, a few weeks ago, i found myself child-less after work...one was off to youth group, the other with a friend. so i grabbed my camera and josie and quickly hiked up the mountain to try and catch the last rays of light. It was just after the rain so there was a superabundant amount of fluffy clouds and the sky was saturated with tangerines, saffron-yellow and amethyst! I know it's a photography no-no to shoot into the sun but i am just loving these crazy half abstract shots of the setting sun on the mountains!

daydreaming today!!

if one advances confidently in the direction of his (her) dreams,

and endeavors to live the life which he (she) has imagined,

he (she) will meet with success unexpected in common hours.
